Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will spend your day investigating and resolving issues across various essential business systems. Your role involves carefully analyzing system behaviors, collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations, and maintaining the reliability of software components that support critical business functions. You will engage in continuous monitoring and provide timely solutions to maintain system performance and user satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to build Knowledge and support the team.
- Participate in Problem Solving discussions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve team effectiveness.
- Document findings and solutions to contribute to the knowledge base.
- Assist in identifying potential system improvements and enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their concerns.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions and preventive measures.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
- Strong understanding of system diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with software maintenance and support processes.
- Ability to analyze complex system issues and develop effective solutions.
- Familiarity with database management and query optimization related to IBM System i environments.
- Good communication skills to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
